Exceptional Engineering’s Project Management team began the site design for the 151.936 sf elementary school building on the 10.44-acre site. To complete their comprehensive work, the team was also responsible for the surveying, traffic engineering, utility design, drainage design, Charlotte County Utility Permitting, Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Sewer Permitting, Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) potable water permitting, South West Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) ERP permitting, and most importantly the LEED filing for civil sections. In 2007, construction observations of the elementary school and its campus were finalized.
LEED certification was awarded upon completion. One of the first Charlotte county schools as LEED-certified, the Charlotte County School Board can proudly showcase the setting of its new standards at a higher and greener bar for its students.
